We have just been told that Antonia still lives in the Casa Avellanos, so this
is either a contradiction or a second name for the same house. At any rate, it
is a clear indication that idealism has now allied itself with its other allegorical
parent, religion (and has thereby imparted to it a promotion). Antonia and the
Bishop will appear together in the next chapter.
